This was the first weekend in a long time where my house was inhabited by me and me only.
At first I wasn’t sure what to do with myself but I figured God had gotten me alone for a reason. Some time ago I began verbalizing and recording my thoughts on my phone; they come to me so fast and leave even quicker so at times it’s hard to keep up with everything that I’m inspired to write–especially when it pertains to the site. After watching Beyonce’s “Life Is But A Dream” I was inspired to complete a video diary during this time of complete solitude in my home.
It was the best thing that I could have done. I enjoyed it and gained so much clarity. By the close of the weekend, I decided to make a video with my daughters once they got home Monday evening.
There’s no way I could have prepared for what we end up capturing on this video.
I just did not expect the video to turn into my daughter interviewing me. In fact, I had every intention of getting in her head.
Always her mother’s child, Arionna smoothly turned the tables on me and put me in the hot-seat.
She was not prepped nor was this rehearsed [as you will definitely see].
She interviewed me about teen parenthood [with her] at 16; whether I really wanted kids; my blog SincerelySyreeta.com; and whether I’m really happy with my life.
I must say…this is the best interview I’ve ever been a part of.
My daughter…I love her so much…
Please feel free to leave comments with your thoughts!
