Who run the world?
Damn it I do.
As does every other women around the world.
The sooner we realize this, the better off we’ll be. 🙂
Until then we have Women’s History Month [which is currently taking place]; Women of Color Day [March 1st]; International Women’s Day [March 8th] and every other opportunity that we’re still on this Earth, to get our points across and ensure that our contributions to society are recognized.
So cheers to us, ladies!
I think Beyonce said it best when capturing our unique place in the fabric of life:
Strong enough to bare the children, then get back to business.
Time and time again, we’ve demonstrated that we’re the backbone to humanity’s existence. And while I know many [both men and women] will argue that we’re the “rib bone” to a man and therefore are a help-mate [only]–well to that I’d say to my lover:
You can live without a rib bone, but your ass can’t live [in your best state] without me. I’m of greater necessity than a damn rib bone. Now, chew on that.
